  • National Association for Female Executives -Certificate of Recognition for effective leadership and for playing a key role in assisting other career-minded women in the pursuit and achievement of their goals.
  • Taught Sunday school for 35 years-Certificate of Recognition for outstanding ministry in Sunday school on the Georgia District of the Church of the Nazarene.
  • 1991 first place winner in Photo and Essay Contest sponsored by Wolf Camera.
  • 2001 award in the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad Annual Photo Contest.
  • 2001 recipient of the Heart and Soul Award in honor and appreciation for service to the Newton County Adoption and Foster Care Program and the children it serves.
  • 2003 recipient of the Community Shining Light Award for outstanding service from the Inspirational Moments Community Ministries, Inc.
  • 2006 Nominee for the Community Service Award in the Georgia Public Employee Awards Recognition Program.
  • 2008 recipient of Writer of the Year – ACW Atlanta Conference.
  • 2009 recipient, First Place in Religion, Georgia Press Association
